MG Motor To Showcase Baojun RC-6 At Auto Expo 2020 Could Launch In 2021

In terms of styling, the RC-6's large single-piece grille that merges with the headlamps sticks to MG's current design philosophy. The round fog lamps and the slim air dams top the look at the front. In terms of features, the China-spec RC-6 comes with connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, a digital instrument display, adaptive cruise control, full LED headlamps and even a Bosch Level-2 driver assistance system. Apart from airbags and ABS with EBD, the RC-6 comes with safety features like traffic jam assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and intelligent cruise assist.

Under the hood, the RC-6 comes with a single 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 147PS of power and 245Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-step CVT. If launched in India, we expect the RC-6 to be offered with a diesel engine as well.

The Baojun RC-6 is priced from RMB 86,800 to RMB 120,800 (Rs 8.82 lakh to Rs 12.28 lakh). If launched in India, we expect the sedan to start from Rs 15 lakh, which puts it right in the ballpark of the Skoda Octavia and.
