Maruti Suzuki XL6 Spotted Without Camo Ahead Of Launch

Maruti Suzuki's new premium MPV, the, a leaked image suggests that the XL6 looks more than a dressed up Ertiga. The manufacturer has also teased key elements and features of the XL6 through various teasers on social media.

The XL6 gets a completely revamped front fascia. The shiny chrome grille has been traded for a larger hexagonal grille. It is split by a chrome strip that connects both the LED headlamps and merges into the DRLs. The roof rails and tough looking body cladding give a premium yet rugged look. Keen eyes might also notice that the alloy wheels, similar to the, are finished in gunmetal. Based on spy shots, the rear bumper gets a silver skid plate and the tail lamps are similar to the one seen on the Ertiga.

Maruti Suzuki had as well. While the dashboard layout might be similar to the Ertiga, it is now finished in black. The centre trim of the dash is also finished in a darker shade that is topped by a silver border. The XL6 also comes with captain seats for the middle row making it a six seater.

The teasers also revealed various features of the XL6. This includes a Smartplay infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, LED headlamps, power windows and multi-info driver's display. Apart from that, we expect cruise control to be part of the kit.

The XL6 is expected to be powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Ertiga. It churns out 105PS and 138Nm and will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 4-speed torque converter AT is also expected to be available. might not offer the XL6 with a diesel engine as the manufacturer will discontinue diesels post the implementation of BS6-emission norms in April 2020.

The XL6 is expected to cost a tad bit more than the Ertiga which is currently priced from Rs 7.55 lakh to Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). When launched, the XL6 will rival the and Renault Lodgy.
