Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS6 Petrol Launch On February 15 Engine Features Variants Specification Explained
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the. The BS6 Vitara Brezza will be offered with a petrol engine only and two transmission options. The Indian manufacturer has also revealed the variants and bookings are already underway. Here is what you need to know about Maruti's updated sub 4-metre SUV:
Engine:
The main update for the is under the hood. It will now be offered with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine only. This motor develops 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. It'll be paired with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic unit. This engine will also come with a 12V mild hybrid system which features torque assist and start stop functions. Speaking of which, it is limited to the automatic variants only.
The Vitara Brezza's existing 90PS 1.3-litre DDIS motor won't be offered in the upcoming model as it won't be upgraded to meet BS6 norms.
Exterior Design:
Along with BS6 upgrades, has used this opportunity to revamp the Vitara Brezza's design. It features a revised grille, new LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and revamped bumpers. Overall, the updates have refreshed the Brezza's design. It's also offered in three new dual-tone shades:
Interior Design And Features:
Unlike the exteriors, the interiors of the facelifted Brezza are similar to the pre-facelift model. However, if you pick the grey-orange dual-tone option, it comes with orange coloured inserts. Other upgrades include a slightly redesigned upholstery design.
The Vitara Brezza features an updated Smartplay Studio infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, a multi-info display as well as keyless entry with push-button start. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, driver and co-driver seatbelt warning and a high-speed alert system.
Variants:
The Vitara Brezza will be available in four trims: LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. The automatic gearbox will be offered in the top three trims, taking the total variant count to nine. Here's our detailed Variants Explained story.
Expected Prices And Rivals:
The Vitara Brezza petrol is expected to be priced similar or slightly above than the existing model which starts from Rs 7.62 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the petrol variants of the, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
