Kia Carnival Teased In India Launch In January 2020 With Prices Starting From Rs 27 Lakh
- The Kia Carnival is expected to be priced between Rs 27 lakh and Rs 36 lakh (on-road).

The teaser video reveals the Carnival's silhouette and 10-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, which look stylish and stealthy. The front-end comes with Kia's traditional Tiger Nose grille flanked by projector headlamps with DRLs. Below it are the large 'Ice Cube' LED fog lamps that look mean and give the MPV presence. At the rear, the Carnival comes with split LED tail lamps while a dash of chrome gives it a premium touch.
The MPV seen in the video is the six-seater version with individual captain seats. We also expect Kia to offer the Carnival in a 7-seater/8-seater configuration as well.
We could also make out a handful of premium features in the teaser such as electric rear sliding doors, a panoramic sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system, hooded dials with multi-info display as well as rear-seat entertainment screens. That said, the last one is expected to be an optional feature. Other expected features include UVO connected car technology, cruise control, auto headlamps and wipers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as keyless entry with push-button start.
Under the hood, the India-spec Carnival MPV will be offered with a 2.2-litre CRDI diesel engine that develops 202PS and 440Nm of torque. This engine drives the front wheels and is expected to be offered with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's likely to be a BS6-compliant powertrain as well.
Prices for the Carnival are expected to be between Rs 27 lakh and Rs 36 lakh (on-road). When launched, the Carnival will sit above the and will have a niche position in the country.
