- Volvo to be the first carmaker to locally assemble plug-in hybrids in India
- The flagship XC90 plug-in hybrid EV to be made in India by 2019
- Till now, PHEVs from Volvo were imported as CBUs
- Prices are likely to remain unchanged, despite localisation
- Expect much faster deliveries for the XC90 PHEV from late 2019
