The highlight of the Hector Plus is its interior, especially the inclusion of a third row. It features a premium-looking tan brown colour scheme. Initially, the Hector Plus will be offered as a 6-seater and the 7-seater variant will be introduced later.
In terms of design, the MG Hector Plus looks largely similar to the standard model, albeit it is cleaner. The blingy and excessive chrome plastic elements have thankfully been removed from the bumpers and tailgate, making it a lot easier on the eye.
The Hector Plus comes with a new swipe-to-open tailgate feature. It also comes with a 10.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, cruise control, climate control, coloured multi-info display and ambient lighting. The Hector Plus is offered with three powertrain options: a 170PS 2.0-litre diesel, a 143PS 1.5-litre petrol, and a 143PS 1.5-litre hybrid. The hybrid unit packs in an electric motor that offers torque boost under hard acceleration. A 6-speed manual gearbox is offered with the hybrid and diesel variant while the petrol engine is offered with a DCT only.
