The exterior is identical to the V-Class MPV barring a removable lid above the rear-left fender. That's for the auxiliary power input and water inlet for the fully functional sink. Other than these, there are no giveaways that this V-Class hides a full camper within its sliding door.
Inside, the V-Class Marco Polo is nothing like its luxury MPV sibling. The front seats can be swivelled around to face the rear seats. The last row of seats fold out into a cozy bed, while there is also a roof-mounted bed. You also get storage compartments and an overhead tent.
In the other variant, you get an entire kitchen crammed into one side of the cabin. There's storage space for utensils and clothes, a stove, and a sink with running water. A foldaway lunch table is also provided. Both variants can be equipped with plastic or wood flooring.
Internationally, the V-Class Marco Polo competes with the Volkswagen California. Campers were made popular by Volkswagen, but the Marco Polo has its own legacy. The original Mercedes Marco Polo was built in the 1980s using the same vehicle, which Force Motors produces as mini buses in India. We can't wait to get a good look at this one.
