There's no doubt that the Vellfire looks typical MPV with an upright nose that houses a chrome-laden grille and sleek split-LED headlamps. At the side, the Vellfire comes with dual-tone alloy wheels that add bling to the relatively clean profile. Moving on to the back, the Vellfire comes with split-LED tail lamps that are connected by a thick chrome strip.

The Vellfire comes in the six-seater layout and the main party piece is in the middle and third row. The individual captain seats in the middle row are basically two giant thrones. It comes with heated and ventilated function, an electronically operated footrest as well as tray tables. These seats can also be rotated to face the third row occupants for either your meeting or casual discussions on road. And if you intend to watch a movie, there is a centrally mounted screen for the purpose.

The dashboard design of the Vellfire is minmalist with the top-half getting a leather finish. Noted features include electric sliding rear doors, a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, ambient lighting, powered tailgate, keyless entry with push-button start, a wireless phone charger as well as powered front seats. Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, electronic stability control as well as an electric parking brake with auto hold function.

Powering the Vellfire is a 2.5-litre litre hybrid powertrain that develops 180PS of power and 235Nm of torque. The powertrains sends power to all four wheels via a CVT gearbox. It is likely that this will be a BS6-compliant powertrain as well. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how it will rack up sales for Toyota as diesel MPVs are more popular in India.
