Hyundai Venue Crosses 75000 Bookings Since India Launch

The Venue's feat was announced following Kia Motors India up 28,000 bookings in July with another 15,000 on the waitlist. Another interesting bit from the Venue's milestone is that 50 per cent of the variants booked come equipped with Blue Link connected features.

The Venue is offered at a price range of Rs 6.50 lakh to Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom India), and 5 variants: E, S, SX, SX(O) and SX+ with three engine options. Hyundai is also planning to introduce.

Petrol options consist of a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol, outputting 120PS/172Nm, paired to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The other petrol engine is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit that develops 83PS/115Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel options consist of a 1.4-litre unit that makes 90PS/220Nm paired with a 6-speed manual.

Aside from Hyundai's Blue Link connected tech, feature highlights in the Venue include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, six airbags, electronic stability control and hill assist.

It rivals the likes of the, Ford EcoSport, and the Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian market.
