The is all set to kickstart Kia's Indian innings tomorrow. The compact SUV has garnered more than 23,000 bookings within twenty days and has created hype for all the right reasons. With its launch scheduled to take place tomorrow, here are five important points you need to know about the Kia Seltos.
Exteriors And Dimensions:
has nailed the Seltos' design. Its has an European air to it and will appeal to all tastes and age. The front-end is dominated by Kia's trademark 'tiger nose' grille that are flanked by jewel effect LED headlamps. Those elongated DRLs makes the Seltos look mean, especially at night. In profile, elements like the tough body cladding and 17-inch wheels give it a rugged yet sporty look. A clean rear end with split LED tail lamps tops off the design.

Interiors:
The interiors of the Seltos feature a minimalist design. It takes plenty of cues from Audis of the past, which is no bad thing. Plastic quality is very good and everything feels tightly screwed, giving it a built to last feel. Some feel good elements are the flat-bottom steering wheel, the 10.25-inch infotainment system, the coloured multi-info display and the red stitching (on the GT Line trim only).

The Seltos comes loaded with features. Notable ones include a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, UVO connected car tech, a head-up display, an 8-speaker Bose Sound, Kia Sound Mood lighting, a sunroof, wireless phone charger, ventilated seats and powered driver seats. Apart from that, you get the usual kit found in this segment like cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, push button start, keyless entry, auto dimming IRVM, climate control and more.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability program, hill hold control and blind view monitor.
Powertrain Options:
The Kia Seltos comes with three engine and four transmission options, which is a first of a kind in its segment. Two petrol engines are on offer - a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) unit and 1.4-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol motor. Diesel variants are powered by a 1.5-litre CRDi unit. While all engines come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, each of them can be had with different automatic transmission options as well.

The Kia Seltos will be available in two trim levels - HT Line and GT Line. The HT Line can be had with the 1.5-litre diesel and naturally aspirated petrol units. The variants of the HT Line are as follows:
