If you are a car enthusiast, then you'd probably know that the 2019 Geneva Motor Show is around the corner and carmakers are all set to bring their A-game with them. And Mercedes has just announced its lineup for the 10-day gala. The German carmaker is bringing not just one but an armada of cars with it. Firstly, will unveil three special editions of the SL series: the SL 500 Grand Edition, the SLC 300 Final Edition and the S 65 Final Edition. The Final Edition SLC pays homage to the first-gen SLK. The SLC, which was called the SLK till 2016, will go out of production later this year. Since its launch, Mercedes has sold over 710,000 units of the roadster worldwide.

Mercedes SLC final edition

The SLC Final Edition is based on the AMG trim and thus, it gets a few more extra options than the standard model. Other features that the special edition receives are five-spoke alloy wheels, carbon-fibre inserts, aluminium finish on the inside and, of course, special edition insignias. The special edition can be paired with either a 1.6-or 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine or the 390PS V6 that you'd find in the AMG variant. The SLC 500 Grand Edition, on the other hand, has received quite a few updates: a glossy paint finish, a new leather option on the seats and on the steering wheel and AMG-spec 10-spoke alloy wheels. There are no mechanical changes though.

Mercedes SL

Under the hood, there's a bonkers 5.0-litre, naturally aspirated V8 that produces 455PS and 700Nm of torque. Mercedes has chosen this year's Geneva Motor Show to also announce that it is going to stop producing the 6.0-litre V12. And as a last hurrah, the German carmaker will unveil the S 65 Final Edition. Mercedes has neither revealed the price of the cars nor the total number of units that are up for sale. Also, whether these special editions will make it to India or not is yet to be seen.

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

Along with these, Mercedes-Benz is also going to unveil the CLA shooting brake. Basically, it's just a standard that was launched last year wrapped in an estate body. As the CLA estate is based on the standard CLA sedan, most of the features between the two will be common. Mercedes also has given the upcoming CLA estate S-Class' safety features, and the carmaker claims that "this will provide the highest level of active safety in this segment."

The German carmaker will also bring the recently unveiled updated V-Class to Geneva. Not much is known, but the 2019 V-Class will be powered by the new OM 645 four-cylinder engine. The new four-pot oil-burner produces 239PS and will be paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Just to keep things into perspective, the V-Class that Mercedes had launched a few weeks back is powered by a 2.1-litre diesel engine that churns out 163PS and is mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Also, Mercedes says that the updated V-Class will receive a few safety and assistance features over the current model.

Mercedes Formula E

Mercedes will also debut two electric concepts at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. One of these will be the Formula E concept that Mercedes will be participating with in the 2019-2020 season. The Formula E car has been developed in partnership with Merc's longtime motorsport partner HWA. The German carmaker will also debut the EQV, the electric version of the V Class at Geneva.

Mercedes GLC

Lastly, Mercedes is going to unveil the facelifted GLC at the Geneva motorshow as well. The 2019 will receive revised engine configurations, an updated MBUX system and gesture control.
