  • However, only the Titanium and Titanium+ variants get the new display that debuted with the S variant back in May.
  • The updated cluster gets chrome surrounds on the clocks and a bigger MID screen.
  • The lower variants will continue to have the standard instrument cluster.

It's no secret that the current batch of instrument clusters on the is quite polarising. Some have branded it simple and appealing while others think it's quite dull. But the new instrument cluster which debuted with the EcoSport S was unanimously hailed as a massive improvement over the one in the standard cars.

Nine months after the new instrument cluster debuted in the S variant Ford has decided to upgrade the cluster on its other variants as well. However, the new cluster has been introduced in the Titanium and Titanium+ variants only. It features a chrome surround around the tachometer and the speedometer dials which makes the dials look premium, and the bigger MID screen adds to the overall appeal.

There are no other other changes to the equipment list. The EcoSport is offered with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. ISOFIX mounts continue to be offered with the Titanium+ and S variants only along with six airbags and the 8.0-inch SYNC3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The EcoSport is powered by three engines. A 1.0-litre EcoBoost which was reintroduced with the S variants and is available with a manual gearbox only and makes 125PS of power and 170Nm of peak torque. The other two engines are a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol making 123PS and 150Nm, is available with both manual and AT options. And finally, the 1.5-litre diesel which is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and makes 100PS and 205Nm of peak torque. It is the same engine that also powers the Aspire.
