Tata Tigor Launched At Rs 520 Lakh
in India with prices starting at Rs 5.20 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Tata has also introduced a new top-end variant called XZ+ which slots above the XZ (O).
The prices of the new Tigor, ex-showroom India, are as follows:
Diesel
XE - Rs 6.09 lakh
XM - Rs 6.41 lakh
XZ - Rs 6.84 lakh
XZ+ - Rs 7.38 lakh
Petrol
XE - Rs 5.20 lakh
XM - Rs 5.55 lakh
XZ - Rs 5.95 lakh
XZ+ - Rs 6.49 lakh
XZA - Rs 6.65 lakh
The new Tigor comes with an updated front fascia. Headlamp design has been tweaked and a projector lamp has been added to the mix as well. The front grille now gets a chrome outline along with a chrome strip on the bumper and chrome fog lamp surrounds.
The taillamp design too has been tweaked and now features LEDs with clear lens setup.
Also new is an auto-folding exterior mirrors, available on the XZ+ variants.
Inside, you get a larger 7.0-inch touchscreen compared to the 5.0-inch unit in the old car. The system only comes with Android Auto.
Tata is also offering dual front airbags as standard on the new Tigor, while ABS+EBD and corner stability control are offered from the XZ variant onwards. Rear parking sensors are also being offered from the XZ variant onwards, though a reversing camera has been reserved for the top-of-the-line XZ+ variants only.
There is, however, no change to the Tigor's powertrains. It will continue to be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine and 1.05-litre 3-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine. The petrol engine will be available with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes, while the diesel comes with a 5-speed manual only.
At Rs 5.20 lakh to Rs 7.38 lakh, in terms of pricing, it competes directly with the recently launched.
