Tata Motors Resumes Production At Pantnagar Sanand Plants 200 Dealerships Open During Coronavirus Lockdown

has announced that it has begun partial operations across the country as the coronavirus lockdown eases in India. The carmaker has begun production at its Pantnagar and Sanand facilities. Also, Tata has announced that 200 dealers and 300 service centres have begun operations in the country. It has also announced that its Lucknow, Dharwad, Jamshedpur and Pune plants are in the final stages of pre-operational preparation.
Tata Motors has enforced a strict set of protocols at the dealerships and manufacturing to ensure health and safety of the employees and customers. The plants and showrooms will be frequently sanitized and social distancing will be firmly established. Employees have to mandatorily download the Aarogya Sethu app and have to declare their health conditions in the Tata Motors in-house health portal.
Meanwhile, the dealerships have begun with a new standard operating procedure. The staff have been asked to maintain minimal interaction with customers and ensure social distancing is followed. They have also been asked to digitally interact with customers with prior appointment. Important documents like RTO certificates and insurance documents will be sent through mail or specially installed drop boxes.
The carmaker has also informed that new vehicles are being handed over after the required formalities. Further, Tata Motors will also provide test drives after appointments at the customer's point only. Customers can appoint a test drive for a new Tata car via the official website and can even book one through it.
