The MG ZS EV trumps the Kona in terms of power and battery capacity. It is also 1.2 seconds quicker to 100kmph. However, all this power comes at a cost as the MG SUV has a lower claimed range than the Hyundai Kona Electric.

Both SUVs share plenty of features, including a sunroof, smart key, a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, a leather wrapped steering wheel as well as electronically adjustable driver seats. However, the MG packs i-SMART connected car technology as well as a PM 2.5 AC air filter.

The two electric SUVs pack a lot when it comes to safety features. Common features include 6 airbags, hill assist, ABS+EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system as well as reverse parking camera and sensors. The MG ZS EV takes a narrow lead with a seatbelt reminder system for the second row and heated ORVMs
Verdict

Both SUVs are loaded with a host of modern features, nifty electronic gadgets and provide the essentials in terms of safety. While the MG ZS EV's prices are yet to be revealed, the SUV is an ideal pick if you loooking for a conventional SUV with more power, a bigger touchscreen infotainment and connected car tech.

However, if you're looking for an efficient electric SUV, one that wont give range anxiety, you might want to consider the Hyundai Kona Electric.
