Maruti Suzuki Baleno Diesel Baleno RS Prices Hiked


- gets a price hike of Rs 13,000; now retails for Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
- 1.3-litre diesel engine and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol yet to receive BSVI update.
- Diesel variants set to be discontinued post April 2020.

After introducing BSVI-compliant petrol-powered versions of the Baleno Maruti Suzuki has now hiked the prices of the premium hatchback's diesel variants. The sporty Baleno RS too has received a price revision. Have a look at the revised prices below.

The diesel-powered variants of the have received a price hike in the range of Rs 12.000 to Rs 19,500. The Baleno RS, on the other hand, gets a hike of almost Rs 13,000. The premium hatchback was given a BSVI-compliant version of the 1.2-litre K12B petrol engine earlier this week. Along with it, the company also added another BSVI-compliant engine - a 1.2-litre DualJet Smart Hybrid petrol - to the Baleno's engine lineup. However, the new engine is only available with the lower Delta and Zeta variants of the hatchback. What's more, it's only offered with a manual gearbox for now.
