Kia Motors India Design Tour Comes To A Close

has just concluded its 15,000km-long second design tour in India. The tour covered 26 cities in the span of under two months. Kia's aim for the design tour was to create a strong brand awareness and reach out to new dealers and customers too.

As we all know, the carmaker will start its India operations this year and its first product for our market will be the Hyundai Creta-based Kia crossover at the event. The brand's aim is to introduce a new model every six months after the launch of its first product in India.
True to its focus of reaching out to new dealers and customers, the carmaker claimed that it connected with more than 10,000 potential customers at the latest design tour.

New Delhi (31.03.2019): Kia Motors, the world's 8th largest automobile maker recently concluded the second phase of its Design Tour in India. The Design Tour aimed at raising awareness of the brand in the country and reiterate Kia's design prowess by exhibiting the world-class Niro, Carnival and Sportage cars. This tour reached 26 cities over a span of two months covering 15,000 kms distance to showcase of Kia's long-term commitment and dedication to the Indian market. Through this activity, Kia Motors India reached out to over 10000 potential customers and buyers across the country. This extensive multi-city roadshow commenced from the city of Jamshedpur on 16th of January and concluded in Bhopal on 15th of March.
The Kia Design Tour 2019 was an opportunity for enthusiasts and potential buyers to be able to forge strong ties with the brand and experience a glimpse of the automaker's commitment to the Indian market ahead of its first car launch in the country, our mid-SUV based on the SP Concept, showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. The primary focus of the multi-city road show was to bring together dealer partners, customers and reaching out to newer audiences, ensuring wide reach and deep market penetration in the country. With an aim to be amongst the top 5 automakers within three years in India this multi-city Design Tour would enhance Kia's brand awareness and recall with customers all-across India.

Ahead of the launch of its first car in India, Kia is working aggressively towards establishing a strong brand presence in the country. Kia Motors India has already commenced its Trial Production of the SP2i at its Anantapur Plant in Andhra Pradesh. With a target of launching a new car every six months after the launch of the first product in India, Kia is planning to expand its portfolio to at least 5 vehicles by 2021.
