Skoda Kamiq Revealed In Sketches Creta Rival To Debut At Geneva

If you've been battling the itch to buy a compact SUV, there's some good news for you. Yesterday, we got a sneak peak at Kia's upcoming. Today, it's Skoda that's given us a glimpse of what's in store for India next year.

The Czech automaker has released two sketches of its upcoming SUV. Called the 'Kamiq', the compact SUV looks like a miniature version of the. It carries Skoda's trademark crystalline design language, but with a twist. For starters, the Kamiq gets a split headlamp setup, with daytime running lamps on top and the headlights on the bumper. Skoda has also confirmed that the Kamiq will feature dynamic indicators at the front and rear.

It's got all the quintessential SUV bits too andmdash; a jacked up ground clearance, tough-looking faux skid plates at either end and a set of roof rails. From the rear, the Kamiq bears Skoda's signature C-shaped taillight design. A unique touch here comes in the form of the 'S K O D A' badging on the hatch that replaces the traditional circular insignia.

Skoda will officially unveil the Kamiq at the Geneva Motor Show that kicks off on March 5. The SUV is of particular interest to us as Skoda India will bring it to our shores as early as next year.
