Honda City ZX Petrol Manual Launched New Colours Introduced

The ZX variant was introduced with the City facelift in 2017.

Earlier, it was available only with the diesel manual and petrol-CVT drivetrain options.

, and were bummed about the top spec being offered only with the CVT, rejoice. The Japanese manufacturer is now offering a manual transmission in the ZX variant, priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This, the manufacturer says, is in response to 'high demand' for a top-spec petrol manual.
With this addition, Honda has also snuck in a few updates to the City's package. The entire range now gets parking sensors as standard. Not a surprise, really, considering it's going to be mandatory post-April 2019. Second, you now get to choose between two new colours for the Honda City - 'Radiant Red Metallic' (the same maroon you've seen on the ).

Expectedly, there are no mechanical changes. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine remains unchanged, developing 119PS of power and 145Nm of torque. With the slick-shifting 5-speed manual, the Honda City is quite fun to drive. For reference, when we tested the City petrol manual, it clocked 100kmph in just 9.64 seconds. In real-world conditions, it managed to return 13.86kmpl inside the city and 19.21kmpl on the highway. Pretty impressive, we know.
Key differences in the ZX variant compared to the VX are side and curtain airbags, and 16-inch machine-finished alloy wheels. Smaller feature differences include automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, a soft-touch dashboard and a trunk lid spoiler.
