
About 70,000 Jews fled the Nazis for Britain before WWII and now a growing number of their descendants are overcoming misgivings to restore their German citizenship ahead of Brexit. Official Berlin figures show only 43 Britons applying for German passports in 2015 under special exception for victims of Holocaust and their descendants. That jumped to 684 after the Brexit referendum.
