Staff Selection Commission of India conducts SSC GD every year to recruit eligible candidates to the post of BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, Rifleman etc. SSC GD Notification 2018 has been released on 21st July 2018 by SSC. SSC GD Recruitment 2018 has started with the release of official Notification.
SSC GD or SSC General Duty is one of the most reputed exam conducted by SSC every year. The candidates are selected for the post of Constable in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and Rifleman. Every year lakhs of students appear for SSC GD Exam in order to fulfill their desire of joining the Government Organization.
The Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) online application process to recruit for 54,593 vacancies for Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles as begun today, July 24. The process of submission of the online application for the year 2018 was to begin from July 21 but was postponed due to technical problem. SSC has shifted to a new website and a there is a facility given on the new website for one-time registration and submission of online application.
Candidates applying for the SSC GD Constable are required to register afresh. Payment through Challan of SBI can be made at the designated branches of SBI within the banking hours up to August 28, provided the challan has been generated before the closing date and time for receipt of applications, i.e. August 24 (5 pm).

Eligibility:
- Candidates applying for SSC GD Constable 2018 must be at least class 10 passed.
- Minimum age must be 19 and the candidate should not be above 23-years-old.
Staff Selection Commission of India has activated the SSC GD Apply Online 2018 link and candidates can now start applying for the exam by clicking on the link given below. The Online Application window will now close on 30th September 2018.
How to Apply for the SSC GD Constable 2018:
Step 1: Applicants can visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in
Step 2: An applicant needs to click on the ‘Apply’ button visible on the screen.
Step 3: Next, a candidate needs to Click on the ‘GD-Constable’ tab flashing on the screen.
Step 4: Candidate needs to fill the application form available at the website by giving details like name, address, e-mail, mobile number, category and educational qualification.
Step 5: Once filling up of the application, a candidate needs to pay the fees to confirm their registration.
Step 6: Download a hard copy of the registration form for the future purpose.
SSC GD Exam Pattern 2018
The selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of their performance in the Physical Test, Written Test, Medical Fitness Test. The Final list will be prepared according to the performance in the written exam.
SSC GD Written Test
The written exam will be of 100 marks.
The time of 90 minutes will be given to the candidates.
There will be four sections- GK,Reasoning,Mathematics and English/Hindi.
Computer Based Examination (CBE)
The Computer-Based Exam will be of 100 marks. The time of 90 minutes will be given to the candidates. There will be four sections in the examination- GK , Reasoning , Mathematics and English/Hindi.
Computer Based Examination will be held in English & Hindi only.
Criteria for PET/PST Test
Candidates qualifying the height test will be subjected to race of 5 Kms for male and 1.6 Kms for female to be completed within completed 24 Minutes and 8.30 Minutes respectively.
